A New Toy!
So in recognition of my patience and good humour (and because they finally got the hint that i need something to chew after I went through their stuff) I was rewarded with a new bone to chew on! I love bones! Sometimes my people are OK...

All Solti, all the time. This is the Bichon dog blog you've always wanted to read. Come and enjoy, stay for some treats, if I don't get them first!

This is me from this weekend, after my bath. Oh man. I really hate this process. Bichons, although we are a sea going breed from early on in our storied history, are not keen on getting wet. I am not a Labrador. Nor am I retriever, golden or otherwise. I like to drink water, not be dunked in it. But every so often the people decide that its time for me to be subjected to this cruel practice and into the shower I go.
One nice thing though about the after bath treatment is the hair dryer. I have thick, curly hair so just rubbing me with the towel will not do. Even though it is hot in Las Vegas, I need to be properly fluffed. So I get the gun, which I like.

Here's me from after blowdrying and prior to my proper hair styling (left). The final prodcut is much more seemly,as you can tell (right). Believe me, it takes a lot of pulling and yanking of my freshly cleaned hair to achieve this look. I'm squinting in the pic because the flash was too bright. *Sigh* Amateur photographers...

Booda Bear is my favorite toy. Look at his ridicuous outfit! A dirty vest! Ha! He hates it when I chew him, that's why he squeaks. But he needs a good chewing now and then.

I was digging through some old things recently (the people were gone to who-knows-where, as usual not bringing me along *sigh*) and I came across this old photo of me. This little bandana outift came about when the people were interested in making me look more "Western." At first I wasn't into it, I'm more of an au naturale guy, but eventually I got used to it. In time I came to like this "outfit". This picture is of me in the blue version; personally I think the red one was better as it matched my collar.
So, lately my allergies have been acting up. In response I've had an overwhelming desire to chew and lick my paws. I just can't help it! They're itchy! Well, I went a little overboard and developed a small bruise. A very small bruise. What happened next? My people slapped a sock on me to keep me from going back! A sock!
So last night the people went out. They got all dressed up and for a second I thought that we were all going out as a family. Boy was I wrong. I knew I was in trouble when she told him to take me out and she was still putting the stuff on her face. What is it with people and clothes and putting things on themselves? I don't understand them. But anyway, he took me out so I could "do my business," which I was not too excited about doing seeing as I was just going to pbe spending the next X number of hours at home by myself. So I decided I would run around a little and make him wait. The guy was very cool about it though, and when I finally did "get down to business" he encouraged me. I always think that's funny when he does that: encourages me to poo. Like I ever listen to him!

This is my first post. As a Bichon I am a small dog so computers do not come naturally to me, but I've watched my people a lot, so I've got the gist of it.
